I swear this is my very last Bham Post!

But I had to post these pictures! After the shower, Nancy, Sarah Kathryn, Catherine, Shelley and I all got some time to hang out. They had all been together since Friday working on the shower: Nancy as the boss, Shelley as the artistci one, Catherine as the translator for SHelley and Nancy, and Sarah Kathryn as Nancy's B**ch, or as Sarah Kathryn preferred to be known the wild card! But after the shower was over we all just got a little time to go shopping and grab dinner.

Though no one needed to go to the Galleria I dragged them there to hit up Gap Maternity. Oddly Sarah Kathryn, and Catherine decided they would rather run an errand with Shelley then shop maternity, so Nancy came with me. When the rest of them arrived at the Gap this is what they found:

Now I have never actually used the fake tummy in the maternity stores when trying on clothes, they serve as great fun for your friends who are not pregnant! Catherine never tried one on, but her are SK and Shelley. And I will also note that no Gap employees ever came back there to find us playing!

I had so much fun seeing everyone and I got a couple of things that are very Hoot appropriate so I must share a couple of items...there sooo cute.

The above gifts are from Katie Austin and Sarah Kathryn. SK got the adorable owl that is both girl and boy with its pink feet and blue wings. And Katie had an artist in Mobile paint the precious owl and squirrel to go in our Beatrix Potter Nursery! Aren't they adorable?
Now how cute is this Vera Bradley Diaper Bag! Belle said she just had to get it, and I completely love it! As Belle pointed out it is not too girly or boyish and you have to know the new pattern or look up close to see the owls. How cute are they?

Birmingham Shower

So I am getting caught up on all my posting. So sorry but last week was a crazy week at work and at school. And though I think things will remain pretty busy I am now getting a bit overwhelmed about what is to come. This morning I recieved an email from "whattoexpect.com" and they were kind enough to remind me that I have only 10 weeks to go! 10 WEEKS????? How did this all happen so fast? Now as I try to avoid a panic attack I will share all the fun stuff on my Birmingham shower. It was sooo much fun! And even more fun to see everybody. We don't have an opportunity to get together enough!

Painting has begun...

These pictures are not very flattering, but funny so I posted them very small. But as you can see Michael was hard at work painting last night, and not in the mood to have his picture taken. So I took one anyway. And he was working all by himself because I am not allowed to paint...but I snuck in for a peak in my mask! I love the brown, it looks great and I will take a better picture of the brown color once we have two coats, and I get home from work before the sun goes down!

The Crib has arrived!!

So here is the crib! It is in an unpainted room with the rest of the unpainted furniture! But some progress has been made. Soon we will achieve more!

Digging through a mega bottle of tums

...for my favorite flavor...that is what I am doing righ now!!! Whoever thought I would come to a point where I had a favorite flavor of tums? Above is the mega bottle that sits on my desk at work, below is the mini bottle that clanks around in my purse on a daily basis. And so you know the best flavor is the purple ones in the Berry Fusion Smoothies! Luckily the doctor says you can use them all you want, just follow the bottle directions. Whew!

Shower Update!!

I wish I had the pictures from the shower but they are all on my Moms camera so we will have to wait and share those later! Sorry. But what I will share with ya'll today is all of the beautiful hand made things that were given to Baby Godwin.

This beautiful bag and burp clothes were made by Susan Soule. The interior is fully lined in a clear plastic to make it water resistant. So aside from it being completely adorable ( I am ready to carry it around as a purse), it is also very functional.
These beautiful burp clothes were made by Betsy Daniels and I just love them...I think they may be too pretty to burp on! The one with the G monogram has a precious pink and blue goose.
Now Elizabeth may kill me for sharing this...because she is new to the seamstress biz, but I think they look absolutely PERFECT! She made the whale onsie and the matching burb cloth. How cute are they!!!
Now, this is a day gown that my Mom made for our little Christmas baby. Isn't it beautiful! And aren't we spoiled!!!

OMG....How cute is this????

So I have had this invitation for a while but I could not capture it quite right by scanning or camera...so this will just have to do! But could this invite go more perfectly with our little blog!!! I was so excited when I recieved it I could hardly stand it. You can read the invite and see what lovely ladies are so generously hosting this shindig for me and Baby Godwin. So this first picture is of the back of the envelope. It is the cutest little sticker. The second picture is of the invitation itself. How cute is the phrasing on the invite!!

Anyway I am very excited about the shower and I know it will be sooo much fun to see everybody in Pensacola. I cannot wait. The only thing I need to do in the meantime is figure out what the heck I am wearing!! That will be an interesting feet, wish me luck.

And can ya'll believe Alexa was worried I wouldn't like this invite...she actually thought it would be to modern. I just adore it!

GAME DAY!

So I forgot to post about this, but I finally saw a kick from the outside. I got a good view on Saturday morning of three kicks right in a row. It did not look like a foot or a hand or anything but there was a bouncing on my round stomach. It was wild! It was also the start of the most active day we have had yet. It was hard to get used to because the baby was moving in so many new ways and I kept reacting by gasping a saying something, I know everyone around me must have thought I had tourettes. Anyway between my laughing and outbursts Mary noted that this baby just must have known it was GAME DAY! The baby was jumping around with excitement just like his/her father! And luckily Alabama didn't let them down. Not to worry girl or boy this baby is ready to go with this Alabama inspired gown that my Mom and Dad gave Michael for Father's Day this year. And though I do not have a picture Brigg and Katie gave Baby Godwin his/her first bib that has some Roll Tide spirit on it! Please know this child will also have no choice but to route for MSU and FSU, but no cow bells yet.

Pregnancy Cravings...no just my birthday...

Yes I managed to eat 4 cupcakes in 24 hours! If the baby can really taste what I am eating, then the baby will come out ready for birthday cake! It all started yesterday when Jessica (she is the one who calls the baby "whatchamacallit") brought Funfetti cupcakes to work because Carolyn's birthday was Tuesday and mine was yesterday. Not to worry I had one for breakfast and one for an afternoon snack! Then last night after I finished my homework Mary came over for Project Runway...and what did she have...4 cupcakes from Nancy Patterson's! For all of you non-Montgomerians Nancy Pattersons is a great restaurant in CLoverdale that has the most luxurious cakes. Mary brought a Red Velvet one (this mornings breakfast), a dark chocolate with cream cheese that is the one we tried last night, and the two still in the box are the famous Strawberry Cupcake, and the Key Lime which I have never tried. Now when I say I had a cupcake for breakfast please no I was stuffing my face and driving at the same time. I looked real cute!
