Happy Thanksgiving!
This video is just Riley walking around, nothing exciting...but it does show how mobile he is. Anyway Michael wanted to share it with Big Mike and Etta who are in New York visiting Mary and Radcliffe, so here it is:

In case you thought I still had a baby...
I think if you look at this picture below you will agree that Riley looks a whole lot more like a little boy than a baby these days...how did this happen so fast???

Michael's Favorite Pictures
The two pictures below are from Brewton last weekend. Michael was not pleased that I had not shared his favorites in my last post, so here they are.

What has Riley been up to?
Sorry for the poor posting lately. I have been busy, and as you will see below, so has Riley. Michael and I went to NOLA this weekend for Julie and Mike's wedding (I will post about that soon) and so Etta and Big Mike were kind enough to take him for a couple of days. My Mom is bringing him up to Montgomery tomorrow, because she is going to help me get ready for Elizabeth's bachelorette party which is this weekend. I miss him and cannot wait for them to get here!

Looks very serious about his pushing doesn't he?

Playing with Curious George!
I just posted this because I think it is such a funny facial expression.
Below you can see he took a trip to the T. R. Miller Football field. Since he learned to take a couple of steps on his own he really loves his push toy, but he has not yet mastered how to turn it around when he runs into walls. So Etta and Big Mike took him to the football field where there were no walls to worry about.
What a great smile? He really loves the bath.
Another thing that has happened while he has been in Brewton is that he has learned that the kitchen door = outside. Anytime they take him in the kitchen he immediately wants to go out and makes sure they know it. He has also learned to climb stairs...baby gates here we come.

End of the Weekend
I will post about our weekend soon, but until I do here are some pictures of the beautiful sunset at the river house tonight. As you can see below, Riley and I enjoyed it together.
How cute is he in his mini Adirondack?

Today
The middle of this afternoon I leaned forward and felt something hard in my shirt? Perplexed I investigated and found this.

When you take a paci away from a baby you must immediately hide the paci otherwise they will focus on it until you give it back...so hide I did!

Things to know about Riley, just shy of 11 months...
First about a week ago we discovered he has the four top teeth all attempting to cut through right now. I guess we might as well cut all four at once instead of teething pain one at a time. Riley is being a trooper and seems pretty happy. Below you can see a video of him soothing his sore gums in the bathtub. Momma tried to give him a wash cloth that had not actually been in the bathtub with him, but he was not having it.
Sorry I am having trouble with this video. I will share it when I can.
Next update...Riley decided to start walking Friday night! (much to my dismay) I definently want him to continue to grow and I knew he would walk eventually...but I am just not prepared for this new level of mobility...but what can you do?
In this video, you can see how much Riley likes it when I sing..."Riley Riley bo biley banana fana fo filey me my mo miley Riley!" It does not matter what he is doing he almost always stops to grin at me...he thinks it is hilarious.
And one last thing to share, I do not remember if I have mentioned it on the blog before, Riley loves Curious George. It is his favorite. He will go over to the bookshelf and grab a Curious George book off the shelf and then bring it back to us to read to him. If you want this baby still and in your lap then Curious George is the ticket! This weekend we had a great time with Curious George and Shapes. It has tabs, and I would read a page and then say, "Riley pull the tab". He would take his cue and go for the yellow tab. Below you can see a picture post bath from tonight after work. This time he didn't care about my reading, he just wanted to pull the tabs!
I am sorry...
