2 Month Appointment

This morning we had our two month appointment and again Dr. Trumbull was pleased with the girls growth.  Mary Pace weighed 9 lbs 7 oz (20 %) and was 21 3/4 long (25 %).  Currey Elizabeth was 9 lbs 6oz (20 %) and 22 inches long (30 %).

Christmas Books

I broke out our Christmas books as soon as we got home from Thanksgiving and Riley has been carrying these two around with him everywhere!  They are two of those record-able books, one is Gie Gie reading the story of the Nativity and the other is Grandcoy reading "The Night Before Christmas".  He loves to "read" them by himself!

1 Month Appointment

Today the girls had there one month check up with Dr. Trumbull. It went very well. Everyone kept saying, "you're by yourself?" and I was. Michael had to be in court so I was solo. I responded with as much so now people probably think Michael is in trouble with the law! But it was just the three of us as Riley was with Margaret (our fave babysitter), so it could have been worse I could have had all three!

Dr. Trumbull was very pleased with the girls growth and our nursing schedule. We came to the conclusion that Mary Pace has reflux, which is a relief to know that we can do something about it.

We also went through the daily infant schedule and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. We were spoiled with Riley when he was a week old and above his birth weight he started sleeping 6 hours over night. The girls are not the same. Over all the girls are very easy babies, accept that there are two of them and that some nights they will go 4-5 hours sleeping and other times one 0of them wakes up at 3 hours on the dot. Atleast it is not every two hours!

Currey Elizabeth (on the right above) weighed 8 lbs 1 oz. (20 %) and was 20 3/4 inches long (40 %). She was smaller at birth and shorter at birth than Mary Pace, but now she is taking over the lead. Mary Pace weighed 8 lbs. (20 %) and was 20 1/2 (25 %) inches long.

My little helper!

This is how we started off our first day on our own! Thats right, Gie Gie left this AM before the rest of us were even out of bed...tear! But we have survived the day so far!  For those counting Gie Gie has been here for 9 weeks and 2 days (5 weeks of bedrest and 4 weeks of new babies).  We miss her, but we know she had to go home, before she heads to Tallahassee to help the Boyd's.

Mary Pace hanging with the big kids...

She is not so sure about this. And she has not got the skill set to say "cheese" yet.

Meeting Chappell

Chappell came over and met the girls today.  When she arrived I was nursing one of them and she came over and said, "she's eating your tummy".  Riley's reaction to nursing was similar, he said, "she's eating you...we should stop her...we eat food, not people!"

And the comparisons continue...

Here Riley has decided that his tongue is bigger than hers.

Big Brother

Here is Riley in the lobby of Jackson Hospital waiting to be called upstairs to meet his sisters.

And here he is checking them out and comparing their nose to his nose...his is bigger!  And their hands are smaller than his hands...this is his favorite thing to do.
And he likes to give them kisses to, and after about 1 minute of this he is done and moved on to something else.
Looks like he has moved on to a comparison of feet here...

And here I am watching everyone meet the girls.  T
